The Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District has a rich history and was established in 1952 by many dedicated volunteers giving of their time, talents and money.
The Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District is located in southwest Guilford County and protects a 52 square mile district. We operate out of five stations and employ 35 Firefighters and one Administrative Assistant. We have over 40 volunteer firefighters on roster which includes 16 resident firefighters and an active Auxiliary that supports fire department functions. We are an ISO rated department with a rating of 4/5.
We pride ourselves on the high level of service we provide to the citizens as well as those visiting or traveling through our district. PSFD responds on an average of 2800 calls each year, with the safety of our personnel and those we serve being our highest priority. In addition to emergency responses, we have a very innovative Fire and Life Safety program that we teach to over 18,000 people annually.
