The Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District has a rich history and was established in 1952 by many dedicated volunteers giving of their time, talents and money.
PSFD is located in southwest Guilford County and protects a 52 square mile district. We operate out of five stations and employ 32 Firefighters and one Administrative Assistant. We have over 40 volunteer firefighters on roster and an active Auxiliary that supports fire department functions. We are an ISO rated department with a rating of 4/5
We pride ourselves on the high level of service we provide to the citizens as well as those visiting or traveling through our district. PSFD responds on an average of 2500 calls each year, with the safety of our personnel and those we serve being our highest priority. In addition to emergency responses, we have a very innovative Fire and Life Safety program that we teach to over 18000 people annually.
It is the goal of PSFD and the professional men and women who serve it, to continually move the department forward in its service to the citizens of our district and our neighboring districts.
It is the vision of the Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District to serve and provide a safer community through standards of excellence in our leaders and personnel who are guided by the principles of trust, integrity, honesty and loyalty, and who take pride in the traditional values of our department through teamwork, education, peak performance and responsiveness.
The Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District is dedicated to providing for the safety and welfare of the public through preservation of life, health, property and the environment, utilizing core values of service, bravery, honor and preparedness. Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District will strive to protect and preserve the health and safety of all personnel and to return them safely to their families.
