"Walk of Honor"

Since it’s origin in 1952, many dedicated individuals have contributed to the success of Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District. As one of the larger county departments in NC, we serve the community in many ways. Our volunteers and career staff teach fire and life safety to over 10,000 people annually and respond on over 2,500 calls each year.

It has long been the vision of the department to construct a honorary tribute to the individuals that were instrumental in the creation and success of the department. With the "Walk of Honor", we will make this vision a reality and build a lasting tribute to all of the individuals who have made the department what it is today, as well as all the firefighters and members who will continue the legacy.

In the spring of 2014, this vision came to life. The Walk of Honor was constructed at Station 24 on Bishop Rd, leading up to the US Flag, surrounded by the Maltese Cross and landscaped with a quiet reflection area.
