In 1967 Station 22 was built on Harvey Road to provide protection to the Mitchell Grove community. In 1985 a new 4 bay station was built on 4 acres of property purchased on Vickery Chapel Road and today is the site of the current Station 22. The firefighters constructed a softball field behind the station for the department’s ball team & for use by the community.
